I embroider stories in tea, sewing used tea bags like a patchwork, and work on them in a mixed media technique that combines embroidery, painting and drawing.

I disassemble, empty, unravel and reconnect, in a constant movement of small, patient and delicate connections . . . Toiling women's work, the language of women from the past.

 

In this way I revive old material, connecting small details into a large whole . . . Embroidering the fabric of my life . . . Giving birth and creating my contemporary new material . . . Like a spider grandmother, the great mother, who weaves and repairs the webs of the universe . . .
